All of he videos listed here are FREE for for you to watch and download. If you click on the link to download a video, a special Portable Document File (PDF) will be downloaded to your computer. Finding Help On Your Own

Do you know how to find "context sensitive" help, i.e. help about the exact tool you need help with, in your 5D™ Softeware? This video will teach you how to easily and quickly get help from the Help File installed on your computer with your software. And the help you receive will be specific to exactly the tool you are trying to use. When you are working with any software, it's good to know that immediate help is just one click away.

Embossing Removal Problem Solution

Recently I received a question from a customer who purchased a design containing an embossed area that she wanted to change. The goal was to place some lettering into an area of the design and remove the overlapping stitches so that the nap of a towel would show through.  For some reason, the removal of the overlapping stitches was far from normal and I had to develop a special technique to solve this problem.  Watch this video to learn about the problem and its solution along with some editing tips along the way.

It's an applique!  No, it's a trace!  Actually, it is both and applique and a trace.  Learn how to create an applique that also has internal satin trace lines in the ExpressDesign Wizard.  You will learn how to create this unique form of design using a few tricks and techniques while using the ExpressDesign Wizard.  Although this project is created in the newsoftware, you can also use the same tools and techniques to create the same design in 4D Embroidery Extra.

Enhancing designs on the Object Page

Inserting Color Changes using the Object Page Tools

It is possible to insert thread color changes in 5D™ Stitch Editor Plus using the thread range tools and the Insert Color Change tool, but this procedure is somewhat complex and requires some time to limit the color changes to only one part of the design. Using the technique described in this video, you will learn how to use the Properties of a Pattern FIll object to insert a Thread Color change using the Density option in the Pattern FIll Properties dialog.

Changing Letter Properties with 5D™ Stitch Editor Plus

You can make many changes to the Properties of fonts in 5D™ Embroidery and 5D™ Embroidery Extra.  Some fonts, however, were created in such a way that the Properties of their various stitch objects cannot be changed...until NOW.  If you have 5D™ Stitch Editor Plus, then there is almost NOTHING that you cannot change in an embroidery design and this includes fonts.  This short video will review the process of changing font properties in 5D™ Embroidery and 5D™ Embroidery Extra, then we will step up to 5D™ Stitch Editor Plus to complete what was once an impossible task.
